Clackamas ESD Mission Awards logo

The Mission Awards recognize individuals who lead, serve, and innovate in support of students, families, schools, and communities across Clackamas County.

The awards include the Leadership Award, Innovation Award, and the Hoa Nguyen Service Award.

In 2026, the awards were presented to:

  • Mitzi Bauer of North Clackamas, recipient of the Hoa Nguyen Service Award
  • Angie Gilbert of Oregon City School District, recipient of the Innovation Award
  • Dianne Holme of Clackamas ESD, recipient of the Leadership Award

Nominations

You may nominate Clackamas ESD staff members, employees of Clackamas County school districts, students, families, and community partners. Members of the Clackamas ESD Cabinet are not eligible.

Award recipients are selected through a review process and approved by the Clackamas ESD Board of Directors.

2025-26 Mission Award Winners

Leadership Award

Dianne Holme, health services supervisor at Clackamas ESD, received the 2026 Leadership Award in recognition of her leadership and lasting contributions to school health services.

This award honors someone who demonstrates strong leadership, supports educational excellence, builds collaboration, and inspires others to work toward a shared vision for student and community success.

Hoa Nguyen Service Award

Mitzi Bauer, a North Clackamas community member and longtime public education advocate, received the 2026 Hoa Nguyen Service Award in recognition of her decades of service to students, schools, and families.

Named in memory of Hoa Nguyen, a cherished Clackamas ESD colleague, this award honors someone whose dedication, compassion, and service reflect the spirit of giving back. It celebrates people who serve with heart and help create a stronger sense of belonging across our community.

Innovation Award

Angie Gilbert, school-to-career coordinator for Oregon City School District, received the 2026 Innovation Award for her work expanding career and technical education opportunities for students.

This award celebrates creativity and forward thinking that improve teaching, learning, or organizational effectiveness. It recognizes people who use new ideas or practices to improve equity, efficiency, and outcomes.
