Social Media Engagement Guidelines

Clackamas Education Service District makes every reasonable effort to ensure its social media pages contain only content appropriate to serve its mission of improving student success and education equity in Clackamas County.

The nature of social media sites presents third parties the opportunity to post content over which Clackamas ESD has no control. We welcome comments and expression of opinion, and respect the right to disagree. However, we will enforce the following rules of engagement to ensure we are complying with all Clackamas ESD policies, including, but not limited to, those banning discrimination and harassment.

We will delete posts that:

  • Include abusive, obscene, profane, hateful or racist language. This includes posts that are sexually explicit, incite violence and/or demean any groups of people protected from discrimination.
  • Are derogatory toward an individual, whether it is a student, staff member or community member.
  • Violate the privacy of individuals.
  • Are off topic. Comments in the thread must be related to the original post.
  • Are posted repeatedly, whether in the same thread, multiple threads or multiple posts.
  • Are advertisements or solicitations of any kind.

Additional guidelines:

  • Cite sources for information when appropriate.
