Regional Technical Assistance Program
Clackamas ESD’s regional technical assistance program offers free professional development and hands-on support to special education teachers, classified staff, case managers and administrators across our partner districts.
Clackamas ESD’s regional technical assistance program was created in 2023–24 as part of a statewide initiative led by the Office of Enhancing Student Opportunities and the Oregon Association of Education Service Districts. Through this partnership, every ESD has an RTAP to ensure districts receive consistent, high-quality training and technical assistance aligned with the state’s general supervision requirements.
IDEA Implementation Support
Clackamas ESD also helps our partner school districts meet detailed Individuals with Disabilities Education Act monitoring and supervision requirements. We are available to support districts in facilitating IEP meetings, creating behavior intervention plans, and coaching providers on instructional and social emotional learning best practices.
Professional Development
Our regional technical assistance program offers ongoing learning opportunities for licensed special education teachers, classified staff, case managers and administrators. These sessions focus on key areas of IDEA compliance, such as Child Find, evaluation, eligibility, IEP development and service delivery. Our workshops delve into many of the specifics of supporting safety, transitions, inclusivity, family engagement and much more.
