STEM

In collaboration with the South Metro-Salem STEM Partnership, our STEM consultant works to expand educator and student access to science, technology, engineering and math courses and experiential learning.

STEM program visioning, planning and implementation

We support districts and teachers with:

  • Equity-focused analysis of their K -12 science programs

  • Co-development of lessons in line with K-12 science education best practices and state standards

  • Integration of STEM and Career Connected Learning into other content areas

  • Assistance in securing grants to support local and regional STEM education goals.

  • Guidance on adopting curriculum and implementing equitable systems. Find curriculum and adoption resources from the Cross-ESD Curriculum & Adoption Collaborative:

STEM education opportunities outside of the classroom

We help districts plan after-school and summer science programs and STEM/STEAM Nights for their community. Grant funding from the South Metro-Salem STEM Partnership or other agencies may be available to support STEM education events.

Educational technology

We connect educators to STEM resources, including tools, technology and makerspaces. A STEAM lending library, including access to BeeBots, Sphero indi and BOLT, Makey Makey and more, is coming soon!

Professional development

We facilitate professional development opportunities, individualized coaching from specialists in K-12 science education and a community of learning among regional science educators.
