In mid-January, the Clackamas ESD Board of Directors began reviewing a proposed board zone redistricting plan developed by Portland State University’s Population Research Center. Redistricting is required every 10 years following the U.S. census to ensure population in each board zone is as equalized as possible. Modest changes are being suggested to existing board zones to reflect population shifts. No board members would be moved from zones they already represent, based on the proposed plan. The board will consider taking official action on the plan at its February 16 meeting.
