Head Start to Success Parent Policy Council

In the Head Start to Success Parent Policy Council, parents, staff, community members and the Clackamas ESD Board work together to ensure that our youngest children will be ready for school and have a solid foundation for life.

Why join our Parent Policy Council?

Do you want to help provide a positive learning experience for your child and the children in our program?

Are you interested in getting involved with your community or child's education, but need guidance on how to do so?

If so, Parent Policy Council is the place for you!

Parent Policy Council members are ultimately the decision makers. Members include Head Start parents and interested community members who act as a link between those people making and carrying out decisions and the families that Head Start serves.

Parent Policy Council members work in partnership with Head Start to Success management and the Clackamas ESD Board to develop, review and approve:

  • Policies and procedures
  • Strategic goals
  • Criteria for selection
  • Parent education financial aid applications
  • Hiring personnel
  • Other business orientated activities that require Policy Council approval

Parent Policy Council puts parents at the center of their child's education and in a leadership position. It gives the parent a voice in their child's school, education, and community.

We invite you to join us in creating the best possible program for your child.
