Mission, Vision & Equity

Clackamas Education Service District is an important part of our local public education system. We partner with all 10 Clackamas County public school districts, expanding their ability to serve the educational needs of the students in our region.

Our mission

Strategic Compass

We’ve created what we call a “strategic compass” to guide us in our work.

Our priorities

  • Infuse equity in all programs and work
  • Build upon our work with districts and expand community partnerships
  • Grow teaching and learning support
  • Employ strategic communication and marketing
  • Strengthen internal and external leadership capacity

Our vision

  • Continuously learn and improve
  • Be responsive, efficient and equitable, and provide best-in-class customer service
  • Recruit, support and retain talented employees
  • Develop the leadership capacity of our organization and those we serve
  • Maximize impact to all we serve through proactive collaboration and innovation
  • Communicate and engage effectively
  • Create an inclusive, barrier-free environment in which everyone participates and fully benefits
  • Provide our employees and our customers with high-quality facilities, technology and resources
  • Be good stewards of our human and financial resources
  • Commit fully to the health, safety and well-being of employees, and all children

Our core values

  • Excellence

Our core values

0%
of the students we serve are members of historically underserved groups

Equity

Our commitment to equity, outlined above in our Strategic Compass, is central to our work. We are dedicated to providing leadership and services that model equitable best practices. We understand that systemic injustices exist, and work to recognize and interrupt systems that perpetuate disproportionate outcomes. Along with other tools and protocols, we use the Oregon Equity Lens as a guide to intentionally evaluate and analyze policies, decisions and service outcomes to ensure they are most beneficial to the school districts and community partners we serve.
